Using
FormWeb with your PDA or Smartphone
Accessing the content on your FormWeb site from your PDA is quite
convenient, and with the help of AvantGo® it
couldn’t be simpler!
NOTE: You will need to do this from
the computer to which you sync your handheld. Since this procedure can require
software installation, you may not be able to do this from hospital / clinic
PCs.

At your FormWeb site go to the Info tab and click “Add this
Formulary to your PDA.”

You will be taken to a page with a link to the AvantGo website. Click
“Download this page to my handheld!”

You will be taken to the AvantGo login page. If this is your first time
using FormWeb with your handheld, you will need to click the link to
“Sign Up Now!”
o You will sign up for
an account by entering your email address (which will be your username),
selecting a password, and answering a few simple questions to create a profile.
o After registering
you will be asked some questions about what type of handheld you will be using.
The process from here on varies from device to device, but the site walks you
through each step. Usually it will involve a quick software download and
installation to enable your handheld to get information from your AvantGo
account.

After getting everything set up with AvantGo and on your handheld, you
can now return to your FormWeb site (from any computer) and click the
“Add this Formulary to your PDA” or the “Add Webpages to your
PDA” links. From there again you will go to the page with the link to
AvantGo.

Now you just log in and save the info you want to your account. It will
be available the next time your handheld is updated.
Device Requirements
Note: The absence of a particular device
from this list does not mean that it is incompatible with AvantGo; it simply
means that it has not been tested.
Palm:
Palm OS Version 4.x or prior running on the following devices: Palm III, Palm
IIIx, Palm IIIe, Palm IIIc, Palm V, Palm Vx, Palm VII, Palm m100, Palm Zire,
Palm Tungsten W, Handspring Visor, Handspring Treo, Symbol SPT 1500, Symbol SPT
1700, TRG Pro.
Memory Requirements: At least 428KB of free memory, plus additional
space for data.

OS 5: Palm OS Version 5.x running on the following devices: Palm

Memory Requirements: At least 1200KB of free memory, plus additional
space for data.
